Who can apply to the program? +
Foreign investors who have completed 18 years of age can apply. Spouse, children under 18 years of age, and dependent disabled children can also be included in the family file.
Can children from a previous marriage also be added to the file? +
Yes. However, additional documents are required depending on custody and permission status; therefore, a prior file review must be conducted based on the family structure.
What is the minimum amount for real estate investment? +
In the real estate investment model, the total investment value must be at least 400,000 USD or equivalent foreign currency.
Can an application be made with more than one property? +
Yes. If the total value condition is met, multiple properties can be used together; however, registered title deeds and notarized contracts should not be mixed and should be structured under a single model.
Is it mandatory to reside in Turkey for citizenship? +
No. A residence permit must be obtained for the investor before the application, but there is no requirement to physically live in Turkey during the process.
Approximately how long does it take for the application to be finalized? +
After the file is prepared, the process for the investor and their family is finalized within approximately 120 days in most cases; the duration may vary based on official reviews.
Is it necessary to know Turkish or take a language test? +
No. No language requirement is sought for applications for citizenship by investment.
Is multiple citizenship possible? +
Turkey allows multiple citizenship. In the final assessment, the effects of the investor's current citizenships under their own national law should be separately analyzed.
What is a Foreign Currency Purchase Certificate (DAB)? +
A DAB is the document showing that foreign currency has been converted into Turkish lira through a bank operating in Türkiye and processed in accordance with the official procedure.
What does the certificate of conformity mean? +
The certificate of conformity is the official document confirming that the selected investment model has been completed in accordance with the legislation and can be used for the citizenship application.
